John Denver was a superstar artist who was a hit with his pop-folk songs, many of which were inspired by Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell, New Mexico. He fell in love Colorado and settled down in Aspen. Denver's state anthems have inspired people to travel to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declares the fact that John Denver is unlike any other artist who embodies Colorado. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first ever to be inducted. Today he personifies the state to people around the world. In my travels I've had the pleasure of meeting people from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform that you're from Colorado The first thing they'll say is"Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a brief career performing in small folk music bands was Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track in conjunction with Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver was introduced to an earlier version immediately, he realized the track could become the next hit single. The song was recorded by the singer within a couple of days after performing it to an enthusiastic audience in Washington D.C.
